Help us find the areas that need help!

We all know the Wet Tropics is a special place. Two world heritage areas side-by-side, where the rainforest meets the Reef. In fact, the Wet Tropics is one of the most irreplaceable regions in the world. But we also know that some areas need assistance and we need your help to find out where they are!

Wet Tropics Waterways is building a database of potential environmental/waterway restoration projects across the Wet Tropics, drawing on the detailed knowledge that landholders, traditional owners and locals have of the areas they live, manage, and enjoy.

Although the partnership is unable to provide funding for these projects directly, we work closely with a diverse range of partners (councils, industry bodies, government and community groups) who can also draw from this resource to identify, prioritise, and fund projects across the Wet Tropics.

Disclaimers

– Details of projects may be shared with relevant partners of the Wet Tropics Waterways Partnership.

– To report pollution events such as fish kills and chemical spills, please contact the 24/7 Pollution Hotline on 1300 130 372 (option 2).
